Aberdeen Flower Delivery
Aberdeen Flower
Aberdeen Flowers – Unwrapping & Arraigning Our Flowers are directly imported to us from Holland this means all of our flowers are of a high quality and optimum freshness, so your gifts last and can be enjoyed for longer. Aberdeen Flowers always advise that 48 hours should be given after delivery to allow the flowers to bloom and open fully, flowers such as lilies are particularly partial to being close, however it does not mean they won’t open after a few days. The reason we deliver flowers before they are fully blooming at Aberdeen flowers is so they will last much longer. If your flowers arrive in a vase, basket or other container our florists have already taken time to arrange your flowers for you, if you are putting your flowers in your own vase or container, ensure it is clean and fill it half way with lukewarm water and add the flower food we have supplied you with, to the water before putting the flowers in. Make sure you remember to cut a little bit off the stems before putting them into the water, we recommend you cut your stems at a diagonal angle, this allows your flowers to absorb as much water as possible. Ensure your flowers don’t have any excess foliage touching the water as the foliage can cause excess bacteria in the water which can have an adverse effect on some flowers, in particular gerbera's are affected by this. Some people have been told that smashing your stems is a good idea, it is not, and at Aberdeen Flowers we don’t recommend it as it can damage the water vessels in the stem, causing the flowers not to absorb water properly, causing the stems to dry and and the flowers to die. Placing your flowers from Aberdeen Flowers Your flowers are best kept at a temperature of between 18- 22 Celsius approximately, if it’s too hot or too cold your flowers will be effected and in effect won’t last as long. Avoid placing your flowers in direct sunlight or close to a heat source, heat can cause the flowers to wilt, considering the environment in which you place your flowers is important and should be thought about so you can best enjoy your gift from Aberdeen Flowers. The last thing to consider, which is also important is not to put your flowers from us at Aberdeen Flowers too close to any ripening fruit as the gases they release are bad for your flowers. For additional information, or to ask us something in particular you can email or phone us at Aberdeen Flowers and we can advise you in whatever way you would like.
